It read like you were. Point is, just because 2 teams are 3-0, it does not mean both have the same make-up or are destined for the same end result. I’m glad the Raps are not 0-3, but I believe that record it somewhat deceiving. Kinda like an used car. Sure the paint and body look good, but there is a big ol mess going on under the hood, and rest assured it drives rough as heck – the Raps didn’t put the smackdown on anyone to get to 3-0, they barely pulled out those wins.

i.e. Chris Bosh & Jose Calderon
with some highly serviceable supporting players …
e.g. Anthony Parker, Jamario Moon, Joey Graham, Jason Kapono, Kris Humphries & Andrea Bargnani
with a few solid looking new additions …
i.e. Roko Ukic & Will Solomon
who, if they are used properly this season, are quite capable of putting up a 50 win season in the Eastern Conference [doesn’t mean they will, but, IMO, the capacity is certainly there this season] …
and, who … if they had just held onto Rasho Nesterovic, Jorge Garbajosa & Carlos Delfino, when they decided to trade TJ Ford [who SHOULD have been moved in a 1-for-1 transaction this summer and not in a blockbuster involving multiple players & draft picks for an injured former all-star, i.e. Jermaine O’Neal] … actually had the type of team/player roster that is NECESSARY to WIN A 1ST ROUND PLAYOFF SERIES THIS SEASON, and
set their franchise up for an extended run in the upper echelon of the Easter Conference for years to come.
Alas … this is not what the Raptors’ basketball brain-trust decided to do.

Winning a conference means nothing.. ask the Lakers. Te regular season means nothing. This whole game is about the playoffs (ask the Mavericks) and winning a ring. No one cares about who came in second. “two is not a winner and 3 nobody remembers” If you want to celebrate regular season accomplishments, be my guest, but you shouldn’t expect everyone else to take pleasure out of the same things you do, while in the process calling them haters. Very narrow minded, IMO.

It’s completely possible two people look at the same thing and see two different things. It makes neither of them a hater. The predictions that some people make re:Raps could come completely 100% true to a tee.. and you would still call them a hater, simply because you have a different definition of the word “fan”. I suspect anything that doesn’t fit the “homer” definition, in your world, is a hater.

What were the Hornets’ shooting percentages?
What were the Hornets’ turnovers?
Were the Hornets trailing for the entire 4th quarter but for the last few seconds of regulation time [and then during the resulting OT]?
Did the Hornets benefit from a ‘poor’ [highly dubious?] no-call by an official at the end of their game vs Golden State?
In comparison to the Lakers, for example, who annihilate the Trail Blazers, then the Clippers and then just squeaked by a talented Nuggets team on the road, in the Mile High City, where running teams like this year’s Lakeshow typically run out of gas, given the altitude in Denver?

When the Raptors win a home game by 16 points versus the Boston Celtics … like the Pacers did over the weekend, with Rasho Nesterovic contributing like he did … and Jermaine O’Neal contributes to their W in a similar fashion, as to what Rasho did in that game … then, IMO, they’ll deserve a similar amount of praise from this corner for this summer’s transaction involving Nesterovic & O’Neal … which is to say, no praise at all from me, as I have yet to write anything at all on-line regarding the ‘quality’ of the victory Indiana just hung up on the defending World Champions.

It’s connected with making what you write intelligle for others to read/parse on my blog.

What is material, though, is how you happen to feel about that team and what it is you feel is acceptable for a ‘true fan’ of that team to think and feel and say about that team, if they are not going to qualify as a ‘hater’ in your mind, based on what your personal definition of a ‘hater’ might be.
When you perceive ‘hate’ in what I’ve written about the Raptors then it means you are working from a very definition of that word than what I’m using.

If it was … then my name would be ‘Dave’.
It’s not though … is it?
It’s khandor … and I don’t write nor do I think exactly like Dave, or ESPN, or Sports Illustrated, or Yahoo Sports!, or anybody else you’d kindly care to mention from the sports blogosphere. 😉
I thoroughly enjoy reading Dave’s blog and contributing there, when it’s appropriate, IMO.
Hopefully this feeling is reciprocated by Dave. 🙂
Based on what he’s said to me, thus far, I think it might well be.
If the style of my blog, on the other hand, isn’t quite to YOUR liking … please don’t feel as though is a place to which you HAVE to come, on a regular basis, and contribute your ideas about the topics here.
If you’d prefer, instead, I/we can simply muddle through without you.

I never said Dave’s blog is like yours or any blogs in the internet. I’m just saying your posts have bias. (Mostly hatred for the Raptors.) But of course you are free to think differently.While other blogs like Dave and ESPN don’t usually have. See the difference.

I simply disagree with that perception … which is not an accurate one, IMO.
